Chainsaw Man’s Comic Inspirations Epic Cosplays

A lot of fans have come up with incredible costumes since the MAPPA-produced anime adaptation Chainsaw Man. They vary from Pochita cosplays that use the back of a person to the terrifyingly violent Chainsaw Man. Tatsuki Yamamoto’s Chainsaw Man was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump, 2018-2020. The series was then rebranded into Shonen Jump+ in July 2022. The series has been praised for its dark elements of world-building and its wildly crude sense of humor. It’s been a New York Times bestseller several times. In 2021, it was awarded the Best Shonen Manga at Shogakukan Manga Awards. It beat Teasing Master Takagi and Burning Kabaddi. The series also won the Harvey Award for Best Manga two times in succession and beat strong competition like Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s Blue Lock, Tatsuya Endo’s Spy x Family, and Shuzo Omi’s Blood on the Tracks.

Chainsaw Man stars an unnamed young man named Denji. He’s more or less an anti-hero. He isn’t convinced to continue living since he’s left with the burden of debts owed by his dead father. Denji encounters Pochita the devil dog. He is driven to take on devils and earn more money to enjoy a normal life. Once he is the Chainsaw Man, he realizes that his dream is achievable.

Chainsaw Man is streaming on Crunchyroll every Tuesday.
