Star Wars Fan Brings Rey’s Evil Empress to Life With Stunning Cosplay

One Star Wars cosplayer shared photos of her as Empress Palpatine (Rey Skywalker’s dark side character) via social media.

ZooGirlQ is a creator of content and has recently shared photos of her as Dark Rey. “[C]all me.. Empress.” she wrote, along with stunning photos that include the famous double-bladed lightsaber. The creator of the content replied to a fan and stated that her character was inspired by fan artwork created by @dazzlingjedi. The Sith Daisy Ridley’s Rey first is seen in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2019. Rey battles this mirror image of herself in the ruins of the Second Death Star.

Ridley was the first actor to play Rey in episode 7 of the Skywalker Saga. This episode was the 2015’s Star Wars, The Force Awakens. Rey was the primary character in the sequel trilogy. She was also in 2017’s The Last Jedi, and the 2019 film The Rise of Skywalker. Rey is also frequent in other media, including video games such as LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Battlefront II as well as animated web series like Star Wars Forces of Destiny.
In The Force Awakens, Rey is revealed as a scavenger who was abandoned on Jakku as a young child. When she discovers that she’s Force-sensitive, she is entangled in the Resistance’s battle with the First Order. She can train successfully to become a Jedi under Luke Skywalker, and Leia Organa and later begins to rebuild the Jedi Order. Her name is Rey Skywalker.

The actors from the sequel trilogy initially expressed disinterest in the series after The Rise of Skywalker was released However, they have since changed their positions. Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron in the sequel trilogy, recently stated that he would be willing to do “anything.” Ridley has also said that she’d love to play with a lightsaber one time more. She also said during the 2022 BAFTAs “I’ll always be Rey.” In 2021, she revealed that she had been in contact with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. However, the specifics of this meeting were not disclosed. Ridley and Rey aren’t confirmed to be appearing in any Star Wars projects.

Lucasfilm has a variety of Star Wars films in development currently. One of them is being created by Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof. This film is expected to be set after The Rise of Skywalker. The film that Lindelof is working on is not the 10th Skywalker Saga episode, but it will be the very first Star Wars project that explores the post-TROS timeline. Some sources have suggested that the film may include characters from the Star Wars sequel trilogy, however, plot details aren’t yet revealed as Justin Britt-Gibson and Lindelof are currently co-writing the script.
