Matt Shakman directed WandaVision that premiered on Disney+ 2021 as the first Phase Four title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The limited series follows Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they live an idyllic suburban life in the city of Westview, New Jersey. They begin to question if all is not what it appears when the reality starts to shift through various decades and sitcom homages. After the series finale of WandaVision Wanda’s story was continued in 2022 in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Marvel Studios is also working on two new series following the show -the series titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Vision Quest — which will be anchored by Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) and Bettany’s White Vision, respectively.
What’s next for the Scarlet Witch?

Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President, has revealed that the Scarlet Witch story is not finished, and it is possible that the character will return in the future in series or films. “There is so much to discover. Feige stated in September 2022 that we haven’t even begun to explore some of her comics’ storylines. “Anything’s possible in the multiverse! “We’ll be able to see.”

While Scarlet Witch’s live-action future is still a mystery, Olsen has confirmed that she would be open to returning as an Avenger as long as Marvel is committed to moving the story of Scarlet Witch forward. “I believe I would be,” Olsen replied when asked if she would accept the opportunity to be a part of the MCU. “But it must be a good story. I believe these movies are best when it’s not about making content, but having a strong point of view and not as a result of having a three-picture strategy.” Olsen is scheduled to reprise her role as the voice of the Scarlet Witch in the upcoming season of the animated Disney+ series What If …?, which is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
